DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. Jamie A. Gray, 29, of Montpelier, Vt. died June 7 in Scania, Iraq, when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. Gray was assigned to Army National Guards Headquarters, Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery, Williston, Vt.

The incidentis under investigation.
