DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pvt. 2 David L. Waters, 19, of Auburn, Calif., died Oct. 14 in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy vehicle. Waters was assigned to the Army’s 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.
