2003

  • Barzan Ibrahim Hasan captured. He was the 5 of Clubs in Iraq’s Most Wanted Deck of Playing Cards.
  • Samir Abd Al-Aziz captured. He was the 4 of Clubs in Iraq’s Most Wanted Deck of Playing Cards.

2004

  • Battle of Husaybah in Iraq
  • End of Operation Danger Fortitude in Iraq

2006

  • Marines repelled an attack by Sunni Arab insurgents in Ramadi, Iraq, when the insurgents launched a coordinated assault against the city’s main government building and two U.S. observation posts. There were no U.S. casualties resulting from the 90-minute attack.
