Situated within the Udairi Range Complex, Camp New York serves as a military installation for the United States in Kuwait.

Functioning as a strategic staging post, Camp New York is strategically located in close proximity to Camp Buehring. Since 2004, it has been intermittently operational, opening and closing on multiple occasions. Currently, its primary purpose is to handle the influx of personnel that nearby Camp Buehring is unable to accommodate.

Following the conclusion of Operation Desert Storm and the subsequent redeployment of troops in 1991, Camp New York was initially referred to as “The Kabal,” as it was the sole camp in existence at that time. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, the Second Brigade Combat Team of the First Cavalry Division, alongside the Third Battalion, Eighth Cavalry Regiment (which had recently returned from Operation Desert Spring), deployed to the newly renamed Camp New York. Subsequently, Camp Virginia and Camp Pennsylvania were constructed, fittingly named in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Although Camp New York provides a limited range of personnel facilities as a temporary staging post, the majority of operations are typically conducted at Camp Buehring.
