National Guard (In Federal Status) and Reserve Activated as of February 17, 2009

This week the Marine Corps announced a decrease, while the Army, Air Force and Navy announced an increase. The Coast Guard number remained the same. The net collective result is 4,079 more reservists activated than last week.
At any given time, services may activate some units and individuals while deactivating others, making it possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. The total number currently on active duty from the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 96,184; Navy Reserve, 6,259; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 15,298; Marine Corps Reserve, 7,332; and the Coast Guard Reserve, 733. This brings the total National Guard and Reserve personnel who have been activated to 125,806, including both units and individual augmentees.
