[CENTCOM] UAV kills 6 heavily armed criminals

UAV kills 6 heavily armed criminals

BAGHDAD (Apr. 11, 2008) – Coalition forces from Multi-National Division – Baghdad operating an unmanned aerial vehicle observed a large group of criminals with rocket-propelled grenade launchers and a mortar tube in northeast Baghdad at approximately 9:30 p.m. April 10.

The UAV fired a Hellfire missile killing six heavily armed criminals at approximately 9:45 p.m.

“U.S. Soldiers and their Iraqi partners are always vigilant in our efforts to protect the Iraqi people from criminals,” said Lt. Col. Steve Stover, Multi-National Division – Baghdad. “We remain committed to their safety, welfare and well-being.”
