IED explosion in Helmand Province under investigation
KABUL, Afghanistan – U.S. Forces Afghanistan is aware that an incident involving an IED explosion took place in the Nad Ali district of Helmand Province Feb. 8. Currently details about how many individuals may have been injured or killed are unconfirmed.
The incident is currently under investigation. Information will be released as details of the incident emerge.

United States Forces Afghanistan’s mission, in coordination with NATO’s International Security Assistance Force, is to conduct operations to defeat terrorist networks and insurgents by developing effective governance and building the Afghan National Security Force.
