U.S. Central Command hosts Regional Cooperation 2019 exercise
U.S. Central Command Public Affairs

TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. Central Command forces, and forces from Tajikistan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and observers from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, will conduct the multinational annual Regional Cooperation 2019 (RC 19) command-post exercise in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, 5-16 Aug.

RC 19 focuses on counterterrorism, border security, and stability operations. The multinational team will develop a combined military response to several potential scenarios.

The training provided during RC 19 promotes cooperation and interoperability, builds functional capacity, supports stability operations, and enhances responsiveness between multinational organizations. RC 19 includes five nations and nearly 200 participants, including support from the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

The Regional Cooperation exercise series has been conducted annually since 2001; the last RC exercise was held 10-21 September 2018, in Massachusetts.

Questions about RC 19 may be directed to the U.S. Central Command Media Desk at (813) 529-0220 or [email protected].
