U.S. Central Command releases CJTF-OIR redacted investigation findings from February shooting

TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. Central Command has released Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s investigation report into a shooting incident in the vicinity of the Middle Euphrates River Valley Feb. 17, and it is available on the USCENTCOM website.

The incident was investigated by a team led by a U.S. Marine colonel who was unable to conclusively determine if a U.S. Marine was shot intentionally by an SDF guard, or if he was shot as the result of a negligent discharge.
