ISAF releases completed investigation on 2014 Marshal Fahim incident

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TAMPA, Fla. – The ISAF investigation into the August 5, 2014 incident at the Marshal Fahim National Defense University in Kabul City, Afghanistan, during which U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene was killed and several others were injured, has been released and posted online at CENTCOM’s Freedom of Information Act Reading Room. On August 5, 2014, U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, then the International Security Assistance Force/United States Forces – Afghanistan (ISAF/USFOR-A) commander, directed an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. The investigating officer was U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Donald E. Jackson. U.S. Army Gen. John F. Campbell, the current ISAF/USFOR-A commander, approved the investigation findings.
