DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Jeremiah J. Holmes, 27, of North Berwick, Maine, died March 29, near Balad, Iraq, when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device and fell from a bridge. Holmes was assigned to the Army National Guards 744th Transportation Company, Hillsboro, N.H.
The incident is under investigation.
