DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Philip D. Brown, 21, of Jamestown, N.D., died May 8 in Balad, Iraq, from injuries sustained west of Samarra by an improvised explosive device. Brown was assigned to the Army National Guards Company B, 141st Engineer Combat Battalion, Jamestown, N.D.
The incident is under investigation.
