DOD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Spc. Benjamin C. Pleitez, 25, of Turlock, Calif., died July 27, in Mazar E Sharif, Afghanistan.

Pleitez was assigned to 1072nd Transportation Company, 746th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 224th Sustainment Brigade, Van Nuys, Calif.
