DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Nicholas H. Blodgett, 21, of Wyoming, Mich., died July 21, in Abdalluyah, Iraq, when his patrol vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. Blodgett was assigned to the Armys 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Schweinfurt, Germany.
The incident is under investigation.
