Obituary:
Pfc. Michael C. Mahr, 26, of Bushnell, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, serving our country. He was born August 31, 1984, in Orlando, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, son and bubby. His comrades called him “”Superman”” because he was fearless. He would do anything for anyone. He always put others ahead of himself. He would always stay late to work on the truck and tell his comrades to go ahead and he would take care of their RG. Michael was a very proud soldier and loved the Army. He never had a moment of regret for the choice he made to serve his country. He loved the Army and everyone he knew dearly. Godspeed Honey, we all love and miss you. You will always be in our hearts, Hooah!

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Mahr of Kannapolis, NC; son, Jadon Michael Mahr of Kannapolis, NC; stepsons, Caleb Bapp of Richford, VT, and Scott Bapp of Richford, VT; mother, Kimberly Albury of Homosassa, FL; stepfather, James Albury of Homosassa, FL; stepgrandparents, David and Kathy Santo of Homosassa, FL; maternal grandparents, Davis and Vicki Chaffee of Lochloosa, FL; maternal grandfather, John Mahr of Sandusky, OH; stepgrandmother, Norma Albury of Homosassa, FL; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Lanum of Edgewater, FL; brothers, Matt Mahr of Eustis, FL, Mark Sallee of Loveland, CO, and James Albury of Kernersville, NC; and sisters, Melanie Halle of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Amber Albury of Watertown, NY, and Tiffanie Overman of Trinity, NC.

Visitation will be held at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 3, 2011, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bushnell on Monday, April 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. Pastor Aaron Burgner will preside. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
