NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVE MOBILIZED AS OF NOVEMBER 6, 2002

This week the Army, Air Force and Navy announce decreases of reservists on active duty in support of the partial mobilization, while the Marine Corps announces a slight increase. The net collective result is 6,385 fewer reservists than last week.
At any given time, services may mobilize some units and individuals while demobilizing others, making it possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. Total number currently on active duty in support of the partial mobilization for the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 25,306; Naval Reserve, 5,517; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 16,087; Marine Corps Reserve, 3,725; and the Coast Guard Reserve, 701. This brings the total Reserve and National Guard on active duty to 51,336 including both units and individual augmentees.
