National Guard (In Federal Status) and Reserve Activated as of April 2, 2013

The Navy Reserve and Air Force Reserve announced this week a decrease in activated reservists while the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and Air National Guard announced an increase of activated National Guard members and reservists. There is no change in the number of activated Coast Guard Reserve personnel. The net collective result is 315 additional National Guard members and reservists activated in comparison to last week.
At any given time, services may activate some units and individuals while deactivating others, making it possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. The total number currently on active duty from the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 38,572; Navy Reserve, 4,362; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 8,680; Marine Corps Reserve, 2,601; and the Coast Guard Reserve, 540. This brings the total National Guard and Reserve personnel who have been activated to 54,755, including both units and individual augmentees.
