Obituary:
JUSTIN ADAM OFFICER
October 15, 1983 – September 29, 2010
Justin left our lives and joined his Father in heaven on Wednesday, the Twenty Ninth of September, 2010. Justin was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Ft. Campbell Kentucky. Justin was deployed with his unit and was killed in action outside of Kandahar Afghanistan. We shall never forget his service to his Country and that he gave his life willingly for those that he served with.
Justin was a quiet, unsure youth, who grew into a confident, young man, sure in his ways. Justin was born at K. I. Sawyer AFB hospital in Michigan and spent his youth on typical boy adventures, like camping, fishing and playing video games. Justin grew up in the U.S. Air Force and lived in Georgia, New Mexico, England, Kansas and Colorado. Unfortunately, like many boys he did not care much for school. From an early age he was loving, caring and had a big heart. Justin was a giving soul, who cared for his family and friends, he knew no strangers. All who knew him came to expect his sense of humor, and eventually he would make you laugh. Justin was known as a hard worker and was well liked by all in his unit. Justin thought of the soldiers in his unit as family, as many soldiers do and Justin gave his life for his Army family. Justin’s family and friends have many great memories from their visits and miss him more than words can express.
Justin is survived by his father, Timothy A. Officer, mother Stacy J. Officer, brother, Timothy A. Officer Jr., sister, Kylea R. Officer, grandmothers, Crystal Sanderson and Donna Fraley, Aunts, Cynthia Whiteside, Deloris Kendrick, Laureen Jodrey, Andrea Lazzara, Beverly Wing, Damaris Fraley, Uncles, Tim Brown, Jeff Brown, Donald Fraley and David Fraley.Justin was preceded in death by grandfathers, Timothy Officer, Gary Brown, Art Sanderson, Donald Fraley and grandmother, Helen Officer.
