Congressional delegation visits Camp Eggers

Congressional delegation visits Camp Eggers

KABUL, Afghanistan – Service members at Camp Eggers shared breakfast with several members of a U.S. congressional delegation during their visit on Dec. 15, to Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan.

Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-N.Y.; Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C.; Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz.; Rep. Brian Higgins, D-N.Y.; and Rep. Ron Klein, D-Fla., spent time with several service members from their respective states.

The visit was part of the delegation’s trip to American forces commands in various areas in Afghanistan.

CSTC-A provides advisors, mentors and trainers to help the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior to organize, train, equip and support the Afghan National Security Forces.
