DA Announces Upcoming Rotational Deployment
Nov. 30, 2015

The Department of the Army announced today the 1st Cavalry Division’s 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team will deploy with approximately 4,500 soldiers to the Republic of Korea in early 2016. This deployment is part of a regular rotation of forces in support of U.S. Forces Korea.

“The 1st Cavalry Division reflects mutual commitment between the Republic of Korea and the United States by providing continued support with a rotational force brigade to replace Black Jack brigade,” said Maj. Gen. Michael Bills, the commanding general of the 1st Cavalry Division.

“The Ironhorse brigade is ready to help maintain peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.”

For more information on 1st Cavalry Division’s deployment, contact the 1st Cavalry Division Public Affairs Officer, Lt. Col. Sunset Belinsky by email at [email protected] or by phone at 254-287-9398.
