DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. John D. Amos, II, 22, of Valparaiso, Ind., died April 4, in Kirkuk, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his military vehicle. Pfc. Amos was assigned to the Armys 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
The incident is under investigation.
