DoD Identifies Army Casualty
September 08, 2004

 

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Charles R. Lamb, 23, of Casey, Ill. died Sept. 5 in Baghdad, Iraq, during a mortar attack. Lamb was assigned to the Army National Guard’s 1544th Transportation Company, Paris, Ill.

The incident is under investigation.
