2004

  • End of Operation Accius in Afghanistan
  • End of Operation Diyala Border Police Audit in Iraq

2005

  • End of Operation Strategic Separation (al Azil al Sitrateegi) in Iraq

2007

  • Operation Alljah in Iraq
  • Start of Operation Cave Dweller in Iraq
  • Operation Eagle Sweep in Iraq
  • Operation Falkirk in Iraq
  • Travis Atkins, Army, Staff Sergeant, is the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions on 1 June, 2007.

2008

  • Marines with the 24th MEU, along with British forces of Task Force Helmand, launched a new operation in the southern portion of Afghanistan’s Helmand Province. British forces pushed south from one of their forward operating bases and secured routes west of Marine positions allowing the Marines to push into new areas previously held by insurgents.
