Acting Secretary of Defense Mr. Christopher C. Miller conducted a phone call with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to connect on the important issues being advanced in the transatlantic Alliance and communicate U.S. policy continuity following leadership changes.

The leaders discussed the continued importance of coordination in support of NATO Missions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Acting Secretary Miller and Secretary General Stoltenberg discussed the threat from Russia and the challenge posed by China.
